Laurie Rains
Laurie Rains is a Vice President in Nielsen’s Retail Consulting and Analytics Group. In this role, she provides retailers with data-driven insights and consultative services to solve a variety of business issues. Prior to joining the RCA group, Laurie spent 15 years servicing Eastern Region retailers. As leader of 20+ Retail Services individuals, she developed and implemented plans to secure cooperation with retailers and established Nielsen data, products and services as the preferred source of business insights. Laurie is a frequent industry speaker, including NACS, NACDS and PLMA conferences and retail and manufacturer clients covering topics such as Leveraging Data to Understand your C-Store Shoppers, Segmentation, Convenience Store Trends and Driving Growth in a Slow Growth Market.
Laurie earned a BA in Economics from Newcomb College of Tulane University and an MBA in Finance from the Leonard Stern School of Business at New York University.
