Karla Reed, Vice President Information Technology, Vintage Wine Estates

 

Karla Reed has been involved with information systems and technology for over 27 years, 20 of those in the wine industry in various roles.  She began her career in the “WIT biz”, as information systems analyst and inventory control with The Chalone Wine Group playing a major role in implementing their new ERP system and rolling out new POS platforms to five tasting rooms.  She was recruited by KJ, to lead the Global Inventory Management and Inventory Compliance role.  She then spent several years developing a broad based, “grapes to glass” understanding of the wine industry, as the Director of Administration for Ledson Vineyards and Winery.  She was sought out help the migration and growth plans, for Foley Family Wines after the purchase of Sebastiani, as Director of Sales Administration, prior to joining her current company Vintage Wine Estates.  Her experience both on the business and administrative side, as well as the information systems and technology side gives her a unique “Liason” view bridging the gap between systems and users.  Karla is currently working with the Vintage Wine Estates team, leading the information systems and technology initiatives as VP of IT/IS.  Vintage Wine Estates is a collection of vintner family-owned winery estates and brands based in Santa Rosa, California.
