Erwin Gut / Firestone Walker Brewing

Erwin’s automation experience started in Switzerland while working as a software engineer for a Ticket Vending Machine Manufacturer. The curiosity about Silicon Valley was tremendous and he moved to Sunnyvale in 1988. There he worked in Automation till 1996 when Erwin started his own firm – Redwood Software Technology, specializing in MES software with integration toward ERP systems. His clients were all over the world, and he often averaged 100,000 air miles per year. Time with his family was limited and his 3 boys always assumed that he was actually a spy. Since 2012 Erwin has been working with Firestone Walker Brewing Company as IT Manager in Automation.
